The Delta building of the University of Eger has been renovated
It's not a stadium again
The Delta building of the Károly Eszterházy University (EKE) Campus on Leányka út in Eger was renovated, which was handed over on Wednesday in a ceremonial setting.
The investment was implemented within the framework of the EKE infrastructural development project out of HUF 540 million. As a result, the educational environment has been modernized, the tools and the infrastructure supporting education have been modernized in an area of one thousand three hundred square meters. The building will also house the state-of-the-art Health and Sports Diagnostics Center, which is part of the Research and Development Center.
In his greeting, Dr. József Bódis, Secretary of State for Higher Education, Innovation and Vocational Training, said that the more than two hundred and fifty years of higher education in Eger can be proud of many things. For example, as it has evolved over the past centuries and as it has gone from college to university.
- Today, in addition to cultivating education and science, higher education has the role of a structural and scientific center, and in the world of innovation it also has the task of dynamizing the economy and society of the area at a higher quality level. The institution can be proud in this respect as well, he declared.
Dr. Pajtókné dr. Rector Ilona Tari said that the main profile of the university is teacher training, in which it also leads at the national level. From now on, they are proud of, among other things, art and sports science courses. Art education has been an integral part of higher education in Eger for more than seventy years.
